118 Fall Chinook Brood Stock Captured

GRWB’s brood stock trap was set in early September. To everyone’s surprise 118 fall Chinook salmon have been trapped so far. With Chinook angling slow in the lower river, it was expected we would have a hard time filling our brook stock quota.

Our count today was 49 females, 51 males, and 18 jacks. Of those, 49 fish were recycled back into the fishery giving anglers another chance at harvesting them.
